# Resume signal guide

A strong IAP resume makes your contribution legible in under one minute. Lead with evidence, not a list of tools.

## Recommended structure

1. **Header** — name, contact, portfolio, and LinkedIn.
2. **Education** — degree, expected graduation, and relevant focus.
3. **Experience** — internships, research, and project roles.
4. **Selected projects** — two or three projects with measurable outcomes.
5. **Technical toolkit** — group skills by engineering function.
6. **Leadership and communication** — mentoring, presentations, and team ownership.

## Example project entry

## Edit before you send

- Replace “worked on” with the exact action you owned.
- Add a number, constraint, or result to each important bullet.
- Keep tense consistent: past for completed work, present for active work.
- Export to PDF and use a clear filename such as LastName_FirstName_IAP_Resume.pdf.
